When you think of weight loss and losing weight, the first things that probably come to your mind are either those “Lose Weight Fast” articles that are in every magazine and newspaper that are filled with hype and never really work for the “everyday” person in real life.

Or those celebrities weight loss programs that require an expensive full time trainer or fitness coach to make it work… Or, maybe you’re thinking of rice cakes, never eating and being hungry all day long, or whatever you are starving yourself with…

Or maybe you’re thinking of all of those weight loss pills that claim to be “safe” and allow you to “eat whatever you want and still lose weight because the pill will do all of the work for you” or whatever gimmick line they are using to get you to buy their ineffective and unsafe weight loss product…

Well, if you are thinking any of those things, STOP!  FORGET THEM!

Before we can start to talk about weight loss and weight loss plans, we must first understand what a diet REALLY is and what it REALLY means.

A diet IS NOT weight loss!

See, people tend to use the phrase “I’m on a diet” when they want to tell people that they are trying to lose weight.

Diets really simply mean what you eat on a regular basis. You could eat Burger King’s quarter pound cheeseburgers and fries, desserts covered in ice cream 3 meals a day, and you’d still be “on a diet” so to speak.

However, eating like this would certainly be the worst of all diet plans, you get my point…

If someone said, “that monkey’s diet consists of bananas,” would that mean the monkey has a weight problem?  No, it would just mean that the monkey eats bananas on a regular basis.  Saying you’re on a diet really just means you eat food.

So you’re on a diet?  Great!  Wonderful!  So is EVERY OTHER LIVING THING ON THE PLANET!!”

That’s why I think most people are in a trance when they say that they’re “on a diet” and expect it to do something for them that it really doesn’t.

That’s why if you are really serious and get out of the mind fog and trace, say instead:

“Out of the many different diets and plans that exist, I am looking for ‘a Weight Loss Diet’ that is natural, healthy, effective and economical for me!”
